ACIDIC BONDING CONCENTRATE HAIR BANDAGE BALM

Introducing our first Acidic Bonding Concentrate treatment specifically dedicated to targeting the ends of the hair, Zone 3.

Redken utilizes a concept called Zones, which refers to specific areas on a hair strand. The hair is divided into 3 Zones. Each Zone has different porosities, and therefore different needs.

Zone 1: Hair closest to the scalp, which is less than 3 months old. Zone 1 is approximately the first ½ inch of hair. Typically, this is the healthiest part of the hair strand.

Zone 2: The mid-shaft area of the hair strand and begins where Zone 1 ends and is more porous (dryer) than Zone 1. In relatively healthy hair, and depending on length, Zone 2 can extend all the way through the ends. Zone 2 may have been altered with chemical services and/or exposed to regular brushing, combing and heat styling tools.

Zone 3: Overly porous hair (exposed to multiple chemical services and/or excessive heat styling) or hair that extends past the shoulders in length. This is the most porous, most dry part of the hair strand and often presents itself as brittle or breaking, feeling rough, and looking unsealed.

Formulated with Bonding Care Complex, a proprietary blend of functional ingredients that provide a caring benefit to the hair, this balm offers immediate bonding, and a smooth, moisturized signature ABC touch without the weight. When applied specifically to Zone 3, Hair Bandage Balm with 8% Bonding Care Complex with Citric Acid plus Madecathenol, quickly absorbs into the hair instantly offering lightweight conditioning and smoothing benefits.

Citric Acid – Small enough to enter the hair fiber and known to help strengthen hair.

Madecathenol – A blend of madacassoside and panthenol that helps to instantly hydrate damaged ends.

Clients of all hair types, textures and patterns, looking for bond repair with a little extra TLC (Tender Loving Care) for the ends.

Quickly absorbing immediately upon use, hair looks shiny, feels revived, looks & feels smooth at the ends, and is not weighed down. Hair looks & feels smooth, soft, healthy, nourished/conditioned, moisturized/hydrated. Hair does not look or feel greasy/oily.

Yes, more can be applied if needed or desired. Each person’s hair has different needs, some may want to apply only once, and others may prefer to reapply or layer. Upon reapplication, Hair Bandage Balm will absorb quickly into the hair without it looking or feeling greasy/oily. Reapplying will help to seal ends and reduces the appearance of split ends.

Yes, the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Hair Bandage Balm is suitable for color-treated and/or bleached hair.

Use as often as desired. Take a pea size amount in hand. Rub hands together and apply directly to ends up to mid-lengths as needed. Do not rinse. Our recommendation is to use on damp hair, with reapplication when or if needed on dry. When used as recommended, Acidic Bonding Concentrate Hair Bandage Balm will not be overused.

Although all hair types will see some level of benefit, the higher the damage to the hair, the more benefits will be received from the product. For hair that has little to no damage, or for hair that does not have a Zone 3, the benefits may be less evident.

The treatments in the Acidic Bonding Concentrate regimen can be used as part of a complete system or as stand-alone products. However, clients with demanding, processed hair looking for internal bonding are recommended to use the Acidic Bonding Concentrate treatments with the Acidic Bonding Concentrates Shampoo, Conditioner and/or Mask. Acidic Bonding Shampoo + Conditioner with citric acid provides bonding with continued use.

Hair in its natural state is acidic ranging from a pH of 4.5 to 5.5. Over time, fluctuations in pH can swell and contract the hair strand causing damage. The complete Acidic Bonding Concentrates regimen is designed at an optimal pH level and helps hair look & feel healthy and prevent extensive damage.

Acidic Bonding Concentrates Hair Bandage Balm is vegan with no animal derived ingredients. It does not contain SLS/SLES, is free from alcohol denat and colorant.

Redken ABC products contains Citric Acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are found in a number of hair and skin cosmetic products, as they are known to help cleanse without stripping moisture. The US FDA advises that all cosmetics products containing AHAs that are topically applied to the skin have the potential to increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight and recommends very specific usage instructions on these types of products. Acidic Bonding Concentrate are hair products that contain the AHA known as citric acid and are not intended for topical application to the skin. However, unintentional exposure of the skin may occur during regular use and that’s why the FDA’s recommended statements are included on the packaging for your understanding and awareness.​

Yes, Acidic Bonding Concentrates Hair Bandage Balm can be used on 100% human hair extensions in which the cuticle has not been altered from its original state prior to purchase. Apply product to the human hair potion of the weft only avoiding any points of adhesion.​​

EXTREME LENGTHS END SEALER:

A leave-in formulated with Biotin, also known as B7, that can enhance shine and strengthen hair, and vegetable proteins. Proteins are known to aid in strengthening and moisturization of hair. Use to fortify long to very long, breakage prone hair. This treatment helps to seal split ends and prevent damage. Can be used daily or as often as desired/needed.
